This real-time video shows what's involved to 'get sailing from being dry on shore' ... easily achieved in 12 minutes or even less.
These steps will be noted:
Lower the boat lift; slide the boat off lift rails; climb aboard; pull out to mooring; take off sail cover; raise mainsail; install daggerboard; lower rudder; pull on mooring line to get steerage way; bear off, unfurl jib …. and sail ;-)
Once underway, note jib-sheet layout permits the windward sheet to effectively trim in the jib to a tighter angle.
